hy i am a french guitar player and i am confused now. If you using the line 6 helix or pod go with a frfr cab, the fr fr is powered so why are you using the full amp simulation from the helix ( preamp and poweramp)? instead of only the preamp simulation so in that way you don t go preamp plus poweramp from the simulation plus poweramp from the frfr ? thanks

there is a bug in this pedal, this sounds great, but the footswitch keeps on when you change to a new presents, is annoying. I dont think this supposed to happen. I use external F3/F4, but when I assign them to anything, It keeps on (Delay, distortion..) , even if i go through all my presents they are still there on, this is weird. I think line 6 should fix this.

It’s now the only amp I use in the HX Stomp - it’s the foundation of my sound. So glad to be freed from the whole “does it sound exactly like the original” thing. It’s just a great sounding amp.

If you have negative views about this guitar, you haven't changed strings/tunings near enough lmao. I can't tell you how FRUSTRATING it is to drop down live and the string breaks when you bring it back up. Flip the switch now.... and you're BANGIN in any tuning, style of body, pickup.... This is the last guitar you'd ever need depending on what type of physical body you prefer.

Honestly... I can't wait to get my hands on that exact guitar model you have of variax. I bought the first model when it came out. When my local gtr tech did a demo for me, I said YES. He showed me everything else there after... and it literally sped up my learning process ten fold. Eventually I sold it because I didn't like the feel of it. But here we are... MANY years later and they finally have a "metal style" neck and feel that's pretty close to an ibanez. I'm saving up, almost there. Gonna use it at the club I DJ for to really amp up my nightly performances.

I recently bought the Helix Floor and a few days ago bought the L6 power Cab 212 Plus and I think I just spent $3700.00 for nothing it sounds like shit no matter how I build my presets and no matter how I tweak the power cab it all sounds like shit I either don't know what I am doing or these two devices are just shit I am so very disapointed

So, my lads and ladies, where can I download the preset you used in the demo? If you advertise the functions so much, put it in a preset available for download. Customers might be able to still learn something from it.

The Catalyst series from Line 6 is known for not sounding particularly good, probably due to the speaker rather than the modeling itself. This is very unfortunate because I had the Spider Valve Mark III combo in collaboration with Bogner, and I also have the head amp, which is amazing. I don't understand why Line 6 can't do better when they have the experience and talent. I still remember when I started playing guitar at 17 or 18. It was the beginning of modeling, and this brand was really the best at that time, producing some incredible products. I haven't had the chance to test this particular amp, but from what I hear and the comments, even the Fender GTX sounds better than this. Are there people here who have tried it and have a more nuanced opinion on the new models? I'm curious to hear.

Why wouldn't you use a clean guitar sound... all that distortion makes it very difficult to hear what the pedal is actually doing.

Ep booster is not a compressor. It is the pre-amp section of eco plex. Ep stands for Eco plex.

I used to own the original Cat - Still feel these amps - in their second iteration - could have benefited from having a small OLED/LED display added for visual feedback when tweaking. As it is - there's a fair bit of "muscle memory" and RTFM involved- it's hard to know exactly what's going on - unless using an iPad or iPhone over USB.... which is no fun...

geeky thought: I'm guessing this ( being able to run these HX models on Catalyst chip ) only became possible recently due to L6 devs being able to make software performance+efficiency improvements and optimisations with the DSP and SOC on board these amps - just as happened with HX Stomp...

Let's not forget the violence and the drug cartels and the incredibly corrupt government on both the local and head state level

Does anyone know if there is a specific way that I am supposed to connect my iPhone to the USB port and play thru the unit? I just plugged in my iPhone but it wouldn’t play thru the unit. Perhaps I did something wrong?
